Workers' Compensation Physical Therapy
Expert, one-on-one physical therapy for employees recovering from on-the-job injuries. Power of Motion Physical Therapy works directly with you, your employer, and your claims adjuster to support a safe, efficient, and well-documented return to work. Led by Daniel Crowe, PT, DPT, OCS, a board-certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist with 13 years of experience.
How we support your recovery and your claim
Thorough documentation
Clear, detailed clinical notes that accurately reflect your progress, functional limitations, and readiness for work duties — supporting your claim every step of the way.
Communication with your care team
We coordinate with your referring physician, employer, and claims adjuster as needed, so everyone involved in your case has consistent, accurate information.
Functional, job-specific rehabilitation
Your program is built around the actual physical demands of your job — lifting, standing, repetitive motion, or otherwise — not a generic exercise sheet.
Objective progress tracking
Strength, range of motion, and functional capacity are measured and tracked throughout your care, giving everyone involved clear, objective evidence of your recovery.

This depends on your specific workers' compensation claim and your employer's insurance requirements. Many work comp cases are directed by the insurance carrier to a specific provider or require physician authorization first. Please call our office and we can help clarify what's needed for your situation before your first visit.
-
Workers' compensation typically covers physical therapy that is reasonable and necessary for treating a work-related injury, but coverage details vary by state, employer, and insurance carrier. We can help verify your specific claim details and authorization status prior to your first appointment.
-
Work conditioning is a structured phase of rehabilitation focused specifically on rebuilding the strength, endurance, and functional capacity needed for your particular job duties — such as repetitive lifting, prolonged standing, or overhead work. Not every work injury requires this phase, but for physically demanding jobs, it's often a critical bridge between general rehabilitation and a safe return to full duty.
-
Yes, when appropriate and with your knowledge. Clear documentation and communication with the relevant parties in your claim — your physician, your employer, and your claims adjuster — is an important part of supporting both your recovery and the administrative side of your case.
-
An Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) is a physical therapist who has passed a rigorous specialty examination administered by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties. OCS-certified therapists demonstrate advanced clinical knowledge, skills, and experience in orthopedic diagnosis and treatment — the highest credential available in musculoskeletal physical therapy.
-
Your first appointment is a full evaluation with Dr. Crowe. We review your injury history, the physical demands of your job, and conduct a comprehensive examination to identify your current limitations. From there, we build an individualized treatment plan focused on getting you back to safe, full function. You will not be passed off to a technician or aide at any point.
-
At Power of Motion, every session is one-on-one with Dr. Crowe — no aides, no shared appointments, no brief check-ins while your therapist manages several other patients. For workers' compensation cases especially, this consistency means more accurate documentation and a clearer picture of your true functional progress throughout your claim.
